My first hair editorial: KITES 2014
My first photoshoot dates back to the early days of my hairdressing days, KITES 2014 for Kapil’s salon and academy! It was an internal competition among hair artists who worked for them. When I got to know, I had to be part of the completion. The goal was to win(of course that’s how the story doesn’t end) but in all thoughts was to do something different than what was happening every day in the salon! Let me take you through things happening back in 2014 or at least in front of my eyes; 50% people were straightening their hair! Most of the people were doing red highlights! The centre part was coming to the cool kids! So I decided to do a chocolate brown(classic), deep side part and messy waves! Mood board; everyday girl, chocolate, leather, bronze.
• ROADBLOCK NO1, no model until 2 days before the shoot! Until my mom found a girl on a local train and asked her to meet me😅. Can you locate the train on the mood board? • ROADBLOCK NO 2, doesn’t want to cut her hair 🫠 • My plan of action; Trim and layer her hair Color- A- INOA 6.32 B- Majilift 12.5 C- Majilift 12.3 Placement A- global application B & C- seed section alternate diagonal forward
• For styling, did a S-shape curl with a wand! The final pictured turned out so regular that I didn’t feel like editorial 😅🤪 If you wanna have a daily dose of medicine, follow this link and have a blast looking at my overacting! KITES 2014
